Video file
There are three ways of adding a video to a video slide:
| Upload MP4 video | Upload a video file in the MP4 format. The file must be under 25mb in size. We recommend using video files that are only 15mb in size as this helps to keep the course package a reasonable size. If you want to use longer or larger videos, we recommend hosting them on YouTube or Vimeo and linking to them from your course. |
| Link to MP4 | Add a link to an MP4 file hosted elsewhere. This must be a url that ends in ".mp4". For example, a video hosted in Rackspace could be added this way. |
| Link to external video | Simply add a link to a Youtube or Vimeo video. If they don't display properly, double check that they are set up to be publicly visible, or at least visible to your staff. |
Subtitles
has an inbuilt subtitles editor that you can use to add subtitles based on time code:
Or you can upload an SRT or VTT file using the Upload Subtitles button.
Note: If you're translating your course, English subtitles must have time codes & text entered to ensure that they are translated with the rest of the course during the translations process. The time code for each line will be the same for all languages. The video file should not include any embedded subtitles. Click here to read more about translations.
