The two edit modes
There are two different ways of editing courses:
|
Simple Edit can only make changes to text throughout the course. The editable text is all displayed on a single page and can be edited by clicking the red pencil icon. |
Full Edit gives you the power to change pretty much anything you want in . More options come with added complexity, so if you only need to make some light text edits, a Simple Edit will do the job. |
To toggle between the two modes, use the Display Mode drop-down in the top right of the page:
Saving
Remember to regularly click the Save button in the Header (at the top of the page) throughout the editing process. We recommend saving before moving on to another page or making your next set of edits.
User access
We recommend that only one person make changes to a project at a time. This will ensure that all of the desired edits are saved properly – multiple users editing the same project can cause problems like overwritten data or lost work.
Versioning
Adaptive Content Authoring lets you "Save a Version" of a course and access a version history. We recommend making use of this from the start! Click here to read more about versioning.
We also recommend exporting your script and assets at key milestones in your build/review process in order to save specific versions of your course. In the event that you need to “revert” back to a previous/original version, each script and ZIP file essentially acts as a backup.
