Introduction
This powerful feature gives org admins the ability to add custom content anywhere within your organisation's front-end dashboard, enhancing your learning environment with rich text and HTML editing capabilities.
With Content Blocks, you can now create welcome messages, display important announcements, provide guidance information, highlight featured courses, or share success stories—all directly on your dashboard.
Multiple blocks can be added throughout the dashboard, allowing you to create distinct sections for different purposes.

The guides and templates are only available to Academy users. If you don't have an Academy account, contact your Customer Success Manager to request one.

Prerequisites
To use this feature, you must have enabled the Modern UI.
How to Use the Feature
- Navigate to Admin > Settings > Dashboard Builder
- Click 'Add New Block' and select 'Content Block'
- Choose either the rich text or HTML editor to create your content.
- With the default editor you can apply rich text formatting. Advanced users may prefer to use the raw HTML editor. Content created in raw HTML may not be editable in the default editor. We have provided HTML templates ready for you to copy, paste and customise.
- Save your changes and click 'Preview Dashboard' to preview how the dashboard and your Content Block will appear to learners. Note: Content Blocks are hidden by default so that you can create them without affecting the dashboard. Untick the 'Hide block' checkbox to make a Content Block visible.
Remember: you can always host videos and images to use in your Content Block in your Resource Library. You can then link to these in the code of the Content Block by using the Direct Resource URL.

A: No, you can add as many Content Blocks to your dashboard as you like. However, consider whether lots of these create a good user experience for your learners.
Q: How do I create the HTML to used with the Raw HTML Editor?
A: We have created templates for you, but we also recommend using your chosen AI tool, e.g. ChatGPT, which are now highly effective at creating simple code.
