This link provides learners with direct access to the resource, rather than having to launch the resource from inside an object. This allows administrators to surface a static link to the resource from anywhere inside LXP.
Using xAPI completion, the object can be marked complete regardless of which resource was chosen by the learner.
Example use cases:
- If you have different versions of content in various languages you could provide links to all of the versions in one object rather than having to create multiple objects.
- You want to promote a specific resource, e.g. AI Coach, from the Content Block.
How to obtain a Direct Resource URL:
- Login as admin
- Go to Resources page
- Find your Resource
- Click the link icon next to the Resource name
- Click the 'Copy' icon next to the Resource URL
- Paste your URL wherever you need it, e.g. in your Content Block from one of our templates
