Prerequisites: If dashboards are not enabled, please contact the Customer Support Team to enable them.
Summary: Think of a dashboard as a blank page onto which you can add different blocks. You can then decide who sees which dashboards. They can be used as homepages, to aid navigation, or to show the content of reports.
Creating a dashboard
Note: Depending on your role/permissions, your Site Administration options may appear differently to this.
Locked: Ticking this will prevent others from making changes to the dashboard.
- Available to no users: makes the dashboard unavailable to users, eg, this is useful if the dashboard is a work in progress or if it's only to be seen by administrators.
- Available to all logged in users: makes the dashboard available to all logged in users.
- Available only to the following audiences: selecting this option makes the Assign new audiences button active so you can select the audiences that the dashboard will be available to.
When you're done, click Create dashboard. You will be taken back to the Manage dashboards page where you can customise your dashboard.

Dashboard position and priority
If you are using dashboards as homepages for learners to land on when they log into the LMS then you need to pay careful attention to the Order in which they are listed in the Manage dashboards page.
When a learner logs into the system they are allocated to their relevant audiences. Audiences can be granted visibility of dashboards. The order in which the dashboards appear on the Manage dashboards page dictates which dashboard a learner will see when they log in.
In the example below, any learner in either of the two audiences linked to the Admin Dashboard would land on that dashboard when they log in. Any user not in audiences linked to the Admin Dashboard will land on the Primary Homepage dashboard because that one is available to all users.
The arrows to the right of the report allow you to move dashboards up/down the list.
