Send Yapster message

Prerequisites: This workflow item is only available via consultation with your account manager. Please talk to your account manager if you would like to have this activated for your organisation. For this workflow item to work, you need to have the Yapster integration enabled and connected to an account that Automation will send messages from. Learning Pool support will guide you through this process.

Send Yapster message sends a message from a specified user's account to another individual user. We suggest that you set up a separate Yapster account specifically for use with Automation. You could add a profile picture and name that indicate that it is a bot that represents your learning platform or L&D team.  

 

Configuring the item

Identifier	The identifier dictates how the workflow item decides who the message should be sent to. Yapster User Id - The user ID of the learner's Yapster account. This will only be available if you've added it as a custom profile field in the LXP. Click here to read more about custom profile fields. Click here to read about retrieving profile fields in .  Yapster User Email - The email address associated with the learner's Yapster account. Ideally this will be the same email address associated with their LXP account or LRS persona.
Text	Enter plain text to be sent in a message. Links will be clickable, but no other formatting is available.
Image URL	Add the URL of an image to be embedded in the message, e.g. a gif from Giphy.
Video URL	Add the URL of a video to be embedded in the message, e.g. a link to a Youtube video.
