Prerequisites: To edit a template dashboard, one needs to be a licensed Designer.
There are two approaches to locating a Template Dashboard to edit. One may either:
- Select Template Dashboards from the left-hand navigation bar and use the Sisense host drop-down in the upper right to select the desired host.
- Or, select Sisense hosts from the left-hand navigation bar and select the Template Dashboards action icon
The Sisense Template Dashboards page displays the template dashboards available within the selected Sisense host. Each template dashboard here has four options available:
- Select Design Template Dashboard to open the design view where template dashboard widgets can be added, remove, and modified.
- Select Duplicate Template Dashboard to make a copy of the template dashboard that can be renamed and modified.
- Select Manage Template Dashboard to update the template dashboard name or to Add users to the template dashboard. More information about adding users to the template dashboard can be found on the Sharing a Dashboard Help Centre page.
- Select Delete to delete the Template Dashboard.
The design view is what will be used most often when updating a template dashboard. Details on how to add, remove, and modify widgets can be found elsewhere in the Help Centre. That said, if there are multiple designers working on the same Template Dashboard it is possible for views to become out of sync. For example:

To avoid this and ensure that everyone's view is synchronized after an update, select the Republish button in the upper right corner of the design view.
