If an adapt user wishes to provide access to content/courses that had been created within their account with another, these courses would need to be shared with another adapt account to provide them access to the content.
There are two options when sharing content within the adapt builder:
- Sharing with users
- Sharing with the entire organisation
Below I have outlined the process when using both of the options mentioned above.
Sharing content with users:
This option allows you to share content with specific user(s) across your organisation within the adapt builder as to allow them access to the content on an account that will be removed. You can share the content by following the steps below:
- Access the course
- Go to permissions
- Add the email address of the user within the - Search for colleagues
- Click on the user name that appears below the box
- Select - can edit - from the drop down
- Click - add users
- Click save
The user(s) you have shared the course with will now see the course available to them in Shared Courses.
Sharing content with across the organisation:
This option allows you to share content with specific user(s) across your organisation within the adapt builder as to allow them access to the content on an account that will be removed. You can share the content by following the steps below:
- Access the course
- Go to permissions
- Change the drop down under - Organisation - to "Can edit"
- Click save
All of the users in your organisation will now see the course available to them in Shared Courses.
Additional Options:
You can also follow the steps above to allow user(s) different levels of access, instead of selecting "Can edit" you can choose from the options below:
- Can copy - Visible to them in Shared courses, but user(s) will only be allowed to make a copy
- Can view - Visible to them in Shared courses, but user(s) will only be allowed to view the course
