2. Validate skills
When a learner selects a skill using one of the "Add Skills" options (e.g., Skills by Job Title), the skill will appear in the "Validate Skills" widget. Before the skill is added to their profile, the learner must validate it by providing some details. Once validated, they can confirm the skill, which will then be added to their profile.
How to validate skills
The minimum information required to confirm a skill is setting a proficiency level or selecting ‘learn’ for the skill. This is to ensure that the user either has some level of proficiency in the skill, or has no proficiency and is interested in learning the skill.
Below is a full breakdown of each option a user sees when validating their skills:

Confirm When a skill is confirmed, it is added to the user's Skill Profile. To confirm a skill, you must either set a proficiency level or select the skill as "Learn". |
Remove This will remove he skill from the users validate skills area. The skills can be added back by using any of the the various "Add skills" options. |
Assigned, Manager suggested, Developed and Self assigned skills
Skills in the validate skills area are separated into 4 different categories, based on how they were added.
Assigned skills
When a manager or admin user assigns a capability to a user, the skills from that capability appear in the validate skills area under the "Assigned skills" heading.
Manager suggested skills
When a manager suggests that a skill be added to a users profile, that suggested skill will appear in the validate skills area under the "Manager suggested skills" heading.
More on the manger skill assessment feature here.
Developed skills
When a user marks a Development Measure as ‘Completed’, the skills from that Development Measure will appear in the Validate Skills area under the ‘Developed skills’ heading, reminding the user to assess whether they have developed that skill.
Self assigned skills
When a learner manually adds a skill using one of the "Add Skills" options (e.g., Skills by Job Title), that skill will appear in the validate skills area under the "Self assigned skills" heading.
3. Detect opportunities
The detect opportunities widget shows the user opportunities (e.g. internal roles, vacancies, projects etc) which they are a high match for. The opportunities shown are ordered by matching percentage, meaning opportunities with the highest matching percentage will be shown first.
Hovering over an opportunity allows you to click the "Details" button which will take you to the opportunities page to view that opportunities details.
4. Update my Development Plan
This widget shows the user details related to their Development plan at a glance. There are metrics for the number of measures they have completed, and the number of skills they have developed by completing measures. They can also see upcoming development measures.
