The completion tab within a certification only becomes active when learners are added therefore making the Certification live. Within the completions tab, it lists out those users who have been assigned to the certification.
The completions tab provides a simple overview of the learners assigned and what their status currently is. From here, it is also possible to look at the individual dates of the user listing out their due date, window open date as well as the completion date (all this information can also be found within a report also).
Clicking on 'Edit completion records' will provide a view of the user-selected progress.
What is contained within here?
The completion record is broken down into 3 different sections:
Current completion record
The above screenshot shows information based on the selected user who is assigned to the certification. This section provides an overview where it is possible to tell what state (Certified, newly assigned or Expired) the user is currently in which is Certification completion state. The Certification status shows their current status (if the user is certified or not). There is a list of dates which indicate the date on which the user completed the certification (Completion date), when they are due to retake the certification (Window open date) along with the date showing when their certification will expire (Effective expiry date).
Completion history
The completion history shows the user's completion history of the course. When a user enters their window open period, their current course completion is archived off and this is where it can be viewed. It is also possible to pull a full report across the whole LMS of all users completion history by using the 'Course Completion including history' reporting source.
If creating a certification from scratch, this will be blank. It will only populate when a user enters their window open periods and their previous course completion has been archived.
Transactions
This section shows a list of all transactions that have occurred which relate to the user. This technical information can be used by Site managers to assist with troubleshooting.
Below is an overview of what this section will included:
- Events that naturally occur during certification, such as becoming certified, the certification window opening, expiry, etc.
- Manual changes made to the current or history completion records using this editor
- Changes to the certification settings, such as the active period (this type of change might not directly affect a user's completion records, but the fact of the change might be relevant, so is included in this log)
