Welcome to the Learning Content Management System (LCMS) This guide will walk you through the essential steps to get started, add content, view content, dispatch content, create an account, create a licence, and organise content with folders.
Login
Access the LCMS through your web browser and login using your Hub credentials.
Once logged in, you will see the Manage Content page which provides an overview of your content and links to various sections of the LCMS.
Adding Content
Adding content to the LCMS is straightforward and allows you to provide engaging learning materials for your audience.
- In the side navigation bar, go to Content > Manage. This page serves as the root directory where you can upload content.
- Click the Upload New Content button located at the top right of the screen.
- Follow the prompts in the dialog box to upload your file.
- Once the file is uploaded, click View this will open the content sidebar in the Overview tab. Here you can edit the content’s name and add a description.
- To preview the content go to the Versions tab in the sidebar select the ellipses and the Preview in new tab option. A new tab will open where you can view the content you added to the LCMS
Viewing Content
Viewing content allows you to preview and interact with the learning materials that have been uploaded. Content can also be viewed from the Manage page as well as in the Versions tab in the sidebar as explained above.
- To view uploaded content, navigate to the Content > Manage page. In the Actions column, click the ellipsis next to the content you wish to view and select Preview in new tab.
- The content will open in a new tab, allowing you to review it before distribution.
Manage content via the Action column
Utilise the functions in the Action column to help manage your content effectively.
- Details: Opens the Content Details sidebar, providing access to valuable information about your content (Refer to the Content Sidebar section).
- Preview in new tab: Allows you to view the content in a new tab.
- Add to Licence: Allows you to apply a licence you have created to the content.
- Download: Enables you to download the launch file for the content so you can distribute the file to learning platforms.
- Move to: Lets you move the content to existing folders or create a new folder for it.
- Delete: Allows you to remove content that is no longer needed.
