Prerequisites: The Assessment component needs to have been added for results to display and the Tutor extension is required for feedback.
Summary: Show assessment results either as standard feedback or using the assessment result component.
There are a couple of different ways to tell a learner how they did in your assessment; you can do it via standard feedback or with the Assessment results component.
Standard feedback
As with any question component, questions in an assessment can display feedback once a user has answered them. All you need to do is make sure that the Tutor extension is enabled on your course and that Show Feedback is enabled in your assessment. You can do this by locating your assessment, clicking Edit Settings, and making sure the Show Feedback toggle is on.
If you’re using the Assessment Single Submit extension, then the feedback will all be displayed
once the learner has clicked Submit.
Assessment results component
The Assessment results component displays the learner’s results within the course, rather than popping up like standard feedback does. It looks like a standard text component and can be added, configured and styled like any other component. Simply click Add component and select it. It can be placed anywhere in a course, it just needs to be linked to your assessment using the Assessment name. It can be used alone or in conjunction with standard feedback.
