Advanced Search enables search matches from within resources that are used in your learning experience objects, offering more comprehensive results beyond standard learning experience and object titles and descriptions.
'Advanced search' is available for Professional and Enterprise tier organisations. Please contact Learning Pool Support to have this enabled.
If you do not have these tiers, please contact your Learning Pool Account Manager or Customer Success Manager.
Currently supported resource content types:
- Adapt
- Learning Pool Authoring (formerly known as Adapt Builder)
- Rise - not all versions supported *
- Storyline - not all versions supported *
* If you find your Rise or Storyline content is not being indexed, please raise it with Support and we will add this version to our content indexing system. Rise and Storyline change the structure so often that it is only possible to update the content indexing retrospectively.
How it works
When a learner receives an advanced search match within a supported resource content type, they will see a search result card like this example for a PDF:
The learner can then go directly to the page of the PDF where their search term is found, in this case page 7. Or they can click on the learning experience title to launch the learning experience, in this case, 'AI Conversations Engagement Pack'.
Because the search term may be found multiple times within the resource, multiple advanced search result cards may be returned. The card shows the words around the highlighted search term, as well as the specific page or section. This enables learners to choose the page or section of the resource content that is most relevant to them.
