What is it?
Track learner progress at a glance with the Progress Dashboard providing a view of how learners are moving through the specific objects within your Courses.
While the Report Builder tracks completions and the Compliance Dashboard monitors deadlines, this dashboard fills the gap by showing you exactly where learners are right now. This is especially useful for time sensitive training allowing you to identify learners who may need a nudge before their due date.
To get started use the filters to select the specific Course you want to analyse.
Widgets in the dashboard
The dashboard contains a number of high level metrics at the top and then as you scroll down the dashboard widgets that give you more granular information.
Unique Enrolled Users
A unique count of user IDs where the user has an enrolment on the selected course
Users Launched a Course
A unique count of user IDs where the user has a launch recorded for the selected course
Users Launched an Object
A unique count of the user IDs where users have a launch recorded for at least one object within the selected course.
Users Completed an Object
A unique count of the user IDs where users have a completion recorded for at least one object within the selected course.
Some methods of recording a completion, such as uploading user data from a previous system with completions to the LXP, will not record a launch.
Users Completed a Course
A unique count of the user IDs where users have completed an enrolment on the selected course
Table Displaying How Far Users Have Progressed Through a Course
You may see course completions where not all objects are completed. This is expected behaviour, as some courses are designed to complete without requiring every object to be completed.
This table has five columns displaying:
- User Email
- User Full Name
- Course Completed Status
- Percentage of Objects Completed
- Number of Days Since Last Progress.
Number of Launches per Week
This bar graph tracks object launches over time. It is an excellent way to measure user activity trends and see if engagement spikes after a reminder email or announcement.
This helps you see how many users are actively progressing through the course.
Number of Users by the Progress they Have Made in Each Object
This is an overview of the course momentum by object and includes the following columns:
- Course Name
- Object Name
- Number of Users Assigned
- Number of Users Not Started the Object
- Number of Users in Progress
- Number of Users Completed the Object
Object Completion by Completion Type.
Number of object completions by the method that the completion was recorded in the LXP. Some types of completions (such as imported completions or admin awarded completions), will not result in the recording of a launch, leading to completions without launches.
Completion Status and Latest Completion Date for Each User by Each Object
This is a table with more granular information displaying the progress status of each user for each object.
Objects can be added to a course after a user has completed the course. In this table those objects will show as not assigned.
The table consists of the user's full name, the name of the course and the objects that make up the course.
The table shows the completion date of each object and the following statuses:
- Green - the object has been completed
- Amber - the object is in progress
- Red with a red ‘X’ the object has not been launched
- Red with a white ‘X’ the object has not been assigned
There is a legend in the dashboard explaining the different status.
