Prerequisites: This block may need to be enabled on your site. If it is not visible in the Add a Block list simply contact the Support Team and ask for it to be enabled.
Summary: The training tiles block provides a visual representation of a learner’s progress through their training. It can be added to dashboards and course pages. Learners can use the dropdown menus in the top left hand corner to filter and sort their training.

The top dropdown menu (which says Show all in this example) can be used to filter the different types of learning - programs, certifications, courses and so on...
The lower menu can be used to order the tiles by:
- Status (descending)
- Status (ascending)
- Date assigned (descending)
- Date assigned (ascending)
With the Training Tiles block on your page start by selecting the and then selecting the Configure option in the menu.
Configuring the block
Common block settings
To rename the block you must select the Override default block title checkbox which allows you to type in the Block title area.
Custom block settings
Set the Tile size to your preferred size. The maximum image size is 50kb, so we recommend creating images that are 300px x 300px for use here.
If you would like your tiles to use different default images to the rest of your LMS, tick Override Sitewide Default Image. You will be able to upload your own custom default images further down the page.
You can set the maximum amount of training tiles that would like to load in the Max number of records Bear in mind, the more tiles that load, the longer it will take.
Show progress - This applies a progress bar on the tile. This will graphically show the learner how much they have completed of the required activities in a course or the amount of completion they have achieved in a programme or certification.
Show completion date - Applies the date that the course is completed to the tile.
Show description - Applies the course summary to the block (this can often be too cramped).
Show Filter - Gives learners the option to show all their learning types or to restrict to just courses, programmes or certifications.
Show sort by option - Gives learners the ability to change the order in which the tiles are displayed (ascending or descending).
You can use these fields to upload your own default images for each type of content. Again, we recommend that you use 300px x 300px images.
Adding custom images
You can also add a custom image to a course or certification so that it’s displayed in the training tiles block. You can do this by going to a course page’s settings and uploading an image to the course summary files section. We recommend that you make this file 400x400 pixels.
As usual, within all block configuration settings, you can also determine the size, location and visibility of the block.
