Prerequisites: This block may need to be enabled on your site. If it is not visible in the Add a block list simply contact the support team and ask for it to be enabled. It will help if you know how to Create and configure dashboards and how to Add blocks.
The Content Collection block provides a stylized list of links to content that can be either internal or external to the and has the following features:

Each instance of the block allows for five "slots" to be configured differently. There is one large “main” slot, followed by four smaller slots.

Each slot can be populated with either a course, a program, or a manual insertion of data.

The block allows for multiple installations on a page.
Configuring the block
Once you've added the block to a dashboard, click Configure Content Collection block to configure it:
While the settings in the Common Block Settings section are common to all blocks in LP , it is important to note that the Block Title and Block Subtitle will be displayed in the Content Collection block as shown in the example below:
Slot 1 Configuration
This section controls the display of the largest slot in the block interface. It is slightly different from the other slots in that it also displays the description or summary of the content.
| Content Type | This controls whether a course, a program or manually input content will be displayed in the slot. |
| Shortname | If “Manual” was selected for Content Type enter “Manual” here. Otherwise, if “Course” or “Program” was selected for Content Type, enter the shortname of the course or Program to be displayed/linked in this slot. |

Manual title |
Enter title of the content for the slot. |
| Manual eyebrow | Text entered here will appear just above the Manual title. |

Manual summary |
The text here will be displayed at the bottom of the tile. |

Manual link |
Enter the hyperlink to the content for the slot. This must be a properly formed hyperlink. |
|
Manual link title |
This is the text that represents the Manual link within the slot, although the entire tile will act as the link. |
|
Manual image |
This is the image that will be displayed in the slot. |
When displaying a course, the image displayed will be the image file added to the Course summary files area.
When displaying a Program, the image displayed will be the Image uploaded to the Program along with:

The Full name of the course or Program

Standard link text “View Course” or “View Path” for the course or Program respectively, although the entire tile will act as a link to the course or Program.

The Summary text entered in either the course settings page or Program Details tab.

Slots 2-5 Configuration
Slots 2-5 constitute the four smaller tiles within the Content Collection block. The configuration options for each are identical, so only one section will be described here.
