Course content can be customized to appear for specific learners based on defined parameters, enabling a more personalized learning experience. For instance, by asking learners if they are managers, you can display specific content exclusively to those who answer "yes."

Note: It's recommended to complete editing and finalizing your content before setting up the branching elements of your course.
Adding a Legacy Question Data Slide
1. Click + Add Page and select Slide
2. Select Question Data and click Add Page

| Variable Name | Add a variable name, which will store the user's response. Choose a clear, descriptive name so you can easily identify and reference it when setting up the branching logic. |

Add answer options that will be presented to the user. For example, "Yes" and "No" are the options shown in the screenshot below: |
| Value | This is the value that the variable will be assigned. It won't be visible to the learner and can simply match the answer. Be sure to name it logically so you can reference it later. |
Configuring the Conditional Content
Content can be branched for slides, categories, topics, or activities. Additionally, sections and blocks within a flex slide can also be branched.
To branch Content
1. In the left-hand navigation, select the content you want to branch
2. Click on the Configurations tab
3. Enable the Show To Select Users toggle to set the conditions using the dropdown menus

Select the variable you want to base this condition on. In our example, it would be the "manager" variable: |

With the settings we've added above, any user who responded "Yes" to the question "Are you a manager" will see the content that we've added these conditions to.
To branch Sections & Blocks in Flex Slides
1. Click Edit Page to launch the Flex editor
2. Click on any Section or Block, then click the Configurations tab
3. Click on the Branching Tool button
4. Set the conditions using the dropdown menus
5. Click Save
Note: A visual indicator & tooltip will display to show what Sections or Blocks have branching enabled.
Adding Multiple Conditions
Multiple conditions can be added, allowing you to create complex criteria based on several variables.
To add an additional condition that must be met alongside your first condition, click the + button next to the existing condition.
To add another condition that can be met INSTEAD of your first condition, click + Add Condition.
