Completing a SCORM package is often what finalises a learner's course. Occasionally, various factors may affect the completion status. Below, is guidance on how to check a learner's course completion and ensure they receive full credit for the course.
Checking that the user has completed the course
- Search for the user account under the browse list of users page.
- Open the user’s profile by clicking on the users name
- Log in as the user by clicking on - Log in as - within the user's profile page
- Navigate to the course page
- Confirm if the activity marks complete manually (if manual completion advises the user to tick the activity) or automatically.
- Confirm if the activity is marked as complete (if the activity is complete but the course page is not showing as complete proceed to the section Checking the overall Course Completion settings)
- If the activity is not showing as complete, open the course logged in as the user and confirm if the progress bars are showing as complete within the module.
- If the progress bars are not showing as complete, advise the user on how to use the progress bars to complete the course.

Checking a user's E-Learning attempt status
If the above is showing as complete, this means that the learner's part is done. If the activity still has not been marked as complete this means that there could be an issue with the set-up of the course within the LMS. Checking the attempt status will assist with this:
- Click on the E-Learning activity.
- Click on the reports tab.
- Filter for the user and click on the number under the attempt (if multiple attempts, the highest number is the current attempt).
- Confirm the status of the user's attempt under the status column.
- If the attempt is showing as incomplete, the issue will be within the module within Adapt or other authoring tools.
- If the attempt is showing as passed/completed, the issue will be with the activity settings.
Ideally, under status, this would state either "Passed" or "Completed". Note, typically if there is an assessment on the module this would write back a passed status. If no assessment it would typically be Completed. Although, this will depend on how the module has been set up on the authoring tool.
Checking the Activity Completion settings on the module
The Activity Completion settings are where it needs to match that of the status that the Authoring Tool module is passing back to the LMS to achieve activity completion.
- If the user has a completion status within their attempt, we need to confirm that the activity completion settings are correct.
- Go through SCORM package admin> Edit settings> activity completion.
- Confirm that the - Require minimum score - is disabled.
- Confirm the status within the user's attempt matches that within the required status.
- Before updating the activity completion settings, confirm if the status within the E-learning module has not been updated, you can run a SCORM report to confirm this.

Checking the overall Course Completion settings
The Course Completion settings are where Activities are selected to complete the overall course. Note, that the percentage of course completion will only start to rise when activities within these settings are complete.
- If the activity is showing as complete on the course page check the course completion settings through Course Admin> Course completion> Condition: Activity Completion.
- Confirm that the correct activities have been selected to mark the course page as complete.

Further Information
- If the course is showing as No criteria on the user's Record of Learning, this would mean that the Course Completion settings have not been set (see section above).
- If the course is showing as not tracked on the user's Record of Learning, this would mean that the course tracking has been turned off under Course Administration>edit settings> completion tracking>Enable completion tracking. This should be set back to yes if the course needs to be tracked.
