Vertical navigation moves several navigation items from the bar at the top to a vertical bar on the left side of the screen. The new navigation bar is visible on the dashboard:
And throughout the front end of the platform:
The differences
In the old navigation bar, the discover button is in the top navigation bar and the log out button is in the user's profile dropdown:
In the vertical navigation bar, there is now a Dashboard button, the discover button has been moved to the vertical navigation, and a logout button has been added to the vertical navigation. The navigation also expands to show full names next to the buttons:
How to enable it
To enable the vertical navigation, go to Admin > Settings > Services > Modern UI:
Enter the Modern UI settings panel, activate Enable Vertical navigation, and select Save:
Customizing the Navigation Bar Color
Admins can customize the appearance of the vertical navigation bar by changing its background color:
1. Go to Admin.
2. Select Settings.
3. Navigate to Themes.
4. From here, you can change the vertical nav background color of the vertical navigation bar. This Nav Bar Background color change will also update the Admin Vertical Navigation Bar color, ensuring a consistent experience across both the admin and front-end.

If you are a Hub user, you will see an App Switcher option anchored at the bottom of the vertical navigation bar. This serves as an app launcher, allowing you to easily navigate between different applications within the platform.
