First, remember the relationship between "schedules", "events", and "sessions": Schedules: Schedules contain events. The schedule is what becomes a resource in the resource library. Events: Events are what you want your learners to attend. For example "Fire Safety Training" may be an event. There can be several sessions of the same event. Sessions: There can be multiple sessions of the same event. These could occur throughout the same day, or be months apart. |
Site-level events display
At the site level, a dedicated Events navigation icon can be made available in the vertical navigation menu along the left side of the screen.
Note: The availability of the Events navigation icon is controlled by Learning Pool Support. Contact the Learning Pool Support team to have this feature enabled or disabled as desired.
The Events display provides a list of all upcoming events in chronological order. Each event can be expanded to reveal the session(s) it contains. If desired, select View Event where additional information such as location of each session can be viewed. It is also here that learners can Sign up for particular sessions if desired.
Viewing a schedule in an individual LX
Since a schedule is represented as a resource in the LX, learners can access an individual schedule that has been surfaced in an LX. This can be as the LX as a whole if the Game Type for the LX is set to "Quick Launch". This displays the events page for the schedule.
Otherwise, if an LX is using a Game Type of "Classic", "Linear", "Non-linear", etc., the schedule resource will be an object within in a level of the LX. When the schedule object is selected, it's events page is displayed where individual events can be expanded, and individual sessions can be booked.
