Schedules are the resources that appear in the learning platform resource library. Learners will look at a schedule to see when the different sessions of an event are taking place and to sign up for them.
Creating and configuring a Schedule
Click CREATE NEW SCHEDULE.
There are three options of note in the "Create new schedule" form:
- Third-party email address(es): This is an optional field used to specify the email address of a third party (such as an external instructor) who will then receive confirmation messages whenever a user signs up for an event. When entering multiple email addresses, separate each address with a comma.
- Notify third parties about wait-listed events: When activated, the third party (s) will be notified when a learner signs up for a wait-listed event. If not activated, third-party(s) will only be notified when a user signs up (or cancels) for a scheduled event.
- How many sign-ups can a user make?: The value selected here is the number of different events a learner can sign up for within this same schedule.
Once the schedule’s details have been completed and the schedule created, here's how it will appear:
Once your schedule has been created, you can use the Edit button to change these details.
Adding your schedule to a learning experience
Open Resources in the admin menu.
Search for the name of your schedule, it will appear as a resource. You can use this like any other resource - adding it to multiple learning experiences etc.
Note: Any changes you make to your schedule in event management will automatically sync with your resource.
What the learner sees
The learner will see your schedule without the event management sidebar. In the schedule, they’ll see the events and sessions that you’ve added to your schedule. See the events and session guides to learn how to add and manage these.
What a course admin sees
When opening the schedule via a learning experience in the learning platform, an instructor will see the same as a learner but with the addition of a button which contains the option to Manage attendees.
