Summary: You can add schedules to the LXP just like any other resource, learners can book onto them and get all the information they need.
The LXP can manage all kinds of learning events in its event management feature. These events appear as resources and can be used in learning experiences in the same way as any other resource. It provides an easy way to book on to online courses, classroom sessions, conferences, and any other type of learning event.
Accessing event management
Simply click on the Event Management icon in the admin section of the LXP to open the events management menu.
The key concepts
Event management is built on a few key concepts:
|
Schedules: Schedules contain events. The schedule is what becomes a resource in the resource library. Events: Events are what you want your learners to attend. For example, "Fire Safety Training" may be an event. There can be several sessions of the same event. Sessions: There can be multiple sessions of the same event. These could occur throughout the same day, or be months apart. Learners can choose which session to attend, but can only pick one. |
Who can access event management?
| Event management admins | To log into the admin side of event management, you need an event management account. These are set up by Learning Pool and can be requested by contacting the customer success team (support@learningpool.com). |
| Course admins | Course admins will be able to manage attendees within an event. They will not be able to access event management from the admin menu. |
| Learners | Learners can simply access and sign up for events within schedules that are in learning experiences that they are enrolled on. |
