The Events feature provides different levels of functionality based on a user's existing role in the learning platform. Please note that there are currently no new roles specific to the Events feature itself; permissions are inherited from a user's platform-wide role.
Role
What you can do
Learning Platform Org Admin
Has full administrative control over the Events feature.
Can create and manage Events, Schedules, Sessions, Rooms, and Attendees.
Can also manage notifications and reporting.
Course Admin (LX Admin)
Can view attendees and sign-ups for schedules and sessions within a Learning Experience where they hold the Course Admin role.
Can take attendance and download sign-in sheets for those sessions.
Course Tutor (LX Tutor)
Can view attendees and sign-ups for schedules and sessions within a Learning Experience where they hold the Course Tutor role.
Can take attendance and download sign-in sheets for those sessions.
Learner
Can access events, sign up for schedules, and join sessions within Learning Experiences where they are enrolled.
Can view their booked schedules in the 'Mine' section of the event within the LX and browse all available training in the 'Upcoming' and 'Past' tabs.
Please note: Currently, only a Learning Platform Org Admin has the ability to create or delete items within the Events system. If you need more users to be able to do this, please contact Support and request a custom role. Additional default roles will be added in the future.
