You can mark attendance for a session once its start time has passed.
To mark attendance for an individual:
- Navigate to the individual session page in the admin.
- In the 'Manage Attendance' section of the page, go to the participant whose attendance you want to mark, and click on the dropdown in the 'Attendance' column.
- Select from any of the below attendance statuses
- Fully Attended
- Partially Attended
- Approved Absence
- No Show
- Once selected, click the 'Save Changes' button.
To mark attendance in bulk:
You can also mark attendance for multiple users at once by using the checkboxes next to each person's name. After selecting the users, use the dropdown arrow on the 'Bulk Marking' button to choose an attendance status to apply to all of them.
Import attendance via CSV:
Download the attendance register
- On the individual session page, you can download the attendance register as a CSV and open this in an editor e.g. Excel, Google Sheets, Notepad, etc.
- Use one of the following numerical values in the Attendance column
- Add any (optional) notes
| Status code | Attendance status |
| -1 | Clear existing value |
| 0 | No Show |
| 1 | Partially Attended |
| 2 | Attended |
| 3 | Approved Absence |
| Blank/empty cell | No change * |
*Using -1 will also clear existing notes for that attendee
Important: Do not edit the Signup ID column. This is used to match attendees during your re-upload.
Import the attendance register CSV:
- Once you have completed and saved your attendance register CSV, return to the the individual session page
- Click 'Import Session Attendance'
- Follow the onscreen instructions carefully to step through the process and map your CSV columns correctly. If you have not changed the column names in your CSV, this will be done automatically.

Attendance and object completions
A learner must all sessions within a schedule marked as 'Full attended' for the learning object that the event is in to be marked as 'complete'.
Examples
'Learning experience object 1' will be marked as 'complete' for Jane Doe with the following attendance at the sessions:
