The first step in building your training programme is to create the main 'Event' itself. Think of the 'Event' as the top-level container that will hold all the related Schedules and Sessions. This 'Event' also acts as the resource that you will add to a learning experience in the platform.

Creating an Event
Before you begin, please ensure that the Events service has been enabled on your platform.
To create a new event, please follow these steps:
- Navigate to Admin > Events
- Click 'Create New Event'
- Populate the required fields
- Click the 'Create' button to finish creating the event or click 'Cancel' to discard the changes
- When you view the Events page, newly created events will appear at the top of the list.
You will then find your event in the Resources section of the Admin portal.

Editing an Event
Editing an event is straightforward and can be done in two ways:
- On the main 'Events' page, simply click the pencil icon next to the event you wish to edit.
- Alternatively, you can click on the Event itself and then click the 'Edit Event' button to make changes.
Deleting an Event
To protect your learning experiences from accidental data loss, deleting an event has a specific and safe workflow. Events can only be deleted at the resource level, not from within the main Events area.
To permanently delete an event and all its contents, you must delete the associated resource from your resource library.
Please note: The system will prevent you from deleting the resource if it is currently being used within any learning experience.
